Navigation devices have been out of season for quite some time now, due to the introduction of free mapping apps available on everyone’s smartphone. What is here wego, you ask? Well, it was Nokia’s web mapping and navigation service implemented in its line of releases of Windows Phone smartphones. It’s now named here wego and currently owned by a collective of German carmakers like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes – to name a few. It’s accessible to every mobile operating system, currently.
Now, let’s say you have plans of exploring your state, city, or even province, and you don’t know the routes. That’s where here wego comes in! This app has your back with the map, directional navigation, and route planning! Go to all of your unexplored places with here wego finding your way for you, so there’s no need for you to worry about getting lost.
Setting Up An Account
Once you’ve downloaded the here wego app into your phone, then what you’re going to want to do is create your account, or log in if you already have one. I recommend you do this to get access to all of the available features that the app has to offer. Like saving your most frequent destinations or any other addresses that you want to be saved into the app.
It’s really simple, just tap on the hamburger-looking icon on the top left of your screen then tap on the sign-in option. You can do it the quick way by signing up/logging in with your Facebook account and details, or you can do it the more traditional way by manually typing in your details. Either or, you’re still going to have an account in here wego.
Download Maps
This is the meat-and-potatoes of the whole app. You need to download the maps that you want to explore. To download any plans, you have to tap on the hamburger-looking icon again and tap on the download maps option. Doing this will take you to a long list of maps, all geographically arranged. Sometimes they will be separated depending on state or province.
After downloading the map that you’re going to use, it will be downloaded straight into your phone’s internal storage – allowing for offline usage. This is a feature that’s great about here wego. You have two options of using it offline and online, but both work perfectly fine – you just need to do the prerequisite downloading for the maps you want.

Here’s a neat thing about using the here wego app. You can save addresses and locations for your future use when you’re finally on that vacation trip. You don’t want to fuss around with the app after all of your weary travels, so let the here wego app assist you. You have your destination, a rented car, and here wego! It can help you with traffic rules too!
